The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk, by Daniel JamiesonMusical Director is Charles Hutchins
Auditionees should prepare a one-minute excerpt from a song: either a music theatre ballad, a folk song, or a jazz standard that demonstrates a mix of lyric and conversational tone, and at least a little vocal range. They should bring sheet music in the correct key.
You will definitely be required to sing in harmony with another person at either preliminaries or callbacks. There is no chorus, so it is critical that each person be able to hold his or her own part. Please let us know what musical instruments you play.
Mary Rademacher is the director and choreographer
Auditionees should be prepared to move, wear comfortable clothing and shoes. List dance training. (No sandals/flip flops) There will be a short routine, but there may also be improvising to a song excerpt.
There will be cold readings from the script.
