Audition Information

Auditions are open to everyone.

You do not have to be Jewish to audition or get involved with Jewish Theatre — most of our actors and volunteers are of other faiths. No previous theatre experience is required.

Everyone is welcome to show up for an audition, though some shows also have a sign-up page.

Parade

Where: St John's UCC — 1934 Bridge Street NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Cast needed: Will need teens to older adults. Most will need to be able to sing. A free workshop is available a few weeks before the actual auditions.

Broken Glass

Cast needed: 3 actors to play women and 3 actors to play men. Middle age.

Cast needed: 4 actors to portray men: LEO (27, an atheistic Reform Jew of Italian descent); ABRAHAM (27, Conservative Jewish man); JOSEPH (60s, Conservative Jewish man); BLAKE (50s, a Black man, not Jewish and non-religious). 2 actors to portray women: ELENA (22, an atheistic Reform Jew of Italian descent); CARMELA (50s, an atheistic Reform Jew of Italian descent).
